Succisella inflexa ‘Frosted Pearls’ – Devil’s Bit Scabious

A hardy clump forming perennial with naturalistic grace. In late summer to early autumn richly branched stems carry swarms of small rounded scabious-like flowers in the palest pearly lavender.   The green textural seedheads that follow prolong the harvesting period. The fine branching stems add a layer of airy transparency to arrangements.

Height: 80cm

Sown to grown: Flowers in it’s 2nd year.

Min. seeds per packet: 50 seeds

Growing tips: Like scabious it is an excellant source of nectar for bees. As a damp meadow plant, it enjoys moist soil and thrives in heavy clay.

Harvesting/Arranging tips: A soft and muted contrast to richly coloured dahlias.
