Phlox drummondii grandiflora ‘Cherry Caramel’
One of my must have half hardies for cutting, an impressively long flowering period and the perfect partner to roses and then dahlias. Clusters of caramel flowers with dark cherry centres on branching, wiry stems. We grow all the Phlox drummondii varieties and this one is the winner for stem length and abundance of flower.

Growing tips: needs heat to germinate and can be slow, pinch tips when plants are about 8cm tall to encourage a bushy habit.
Harvesting/Arranging tips: harvest when half the florets on a stem are open, cut low down to a side shoot to encourage continual flowering. The colouring has a beautiful antique quality and the form adds movement and airy outline.
