Flower Farming Masterclass – Autumn
£220.00
Get ready for the down season.
Our Autumn session of three practical on-farm workshops looking at how to grow, harvest and sell quality cut flowers over the season.
A small group will join Ashley and Rachel for this hands on day that will take you step by step through our growing techniques and systems that have enabled us to run a successful cut flower business for fourteen years. This course is aimed at new flower farmers who are just beginning or have completed a season or two and feel the need to refine their skills.
Each workshop will be divided between the greenhouse, tunnel, field and flower studio. The focus will be on improving your skills and knowledge in all of these areas and learning how to cultivate a balanced approach to growing and selling.
In this session we will cover the following:
Preparing beds for the winter.
Harvesting and selling – dahlias, chrysanthemums and roses, half hardy annuals, varieties and ways of selling.
Growing – autumn planted bulbs and autumn sown hardy annuals.
Field scale – late summer perennials and woody cuts.
