Sweet Peas
Early flowering – these are multiflora types of Sweet Pea which will flower on shorter day lengths and therefore can be sown earlier and grown on in an unheated polytunnel or greenhouse to protect them from the worst of the winter weather.
Modern grandiflora varieties combine the strong fragrance and colourful blooms of the original, old-fashioned grandifloras with the large flowers and long, straight stems of Spencer-type sweet peas. Most varieties will have four flowers per stem. They are more weather resilient than Spencers and produce flowers all the way up the stem so create a more floriferous effect in the garden.
Spencer types are traditional summer flowering sweet peas, with large frilly blooms with good scent and long stems for the garden. Wide range of colour choice for growing outdoors.
