Hardy Annuals
The easiest group to grow from seed, many of these are happy to be sown directly and will produce volumes of flowers. They are frost hardy so we prefer to sow most of them in late August/early September so that they will get a good root system down before the winter. When it warms up in Spring they will have a head start and be in flower a good month earlier than their Spring-sown counterparts. Not only that, they will also be twice the size with longer stems and larger flowers.
