Ranunculus acris – ‘Citrinus’ Meadow buttercup
This refined version of our native meadow cup produces clouds of shimmering pale lemon flowers which look as if they are floating because of the fine branching stems. It is not an invasive plant but behaves more like a geum forming tidy clumps of foliage which gradually increase in size. It is a valuable accent flower for late spring/early summer, it’s shiny petals create little flecks of light scattered through an arrangement.
